The Family

Nikki and I met on our first day of law school. We were engaged a year later, or thereabouts, and married the following year. Otis, our oldest, was adopted from the Polk County/Des Moines Animal shelter in April, 2008 and we took his little brother Oscar home the following Autumn.

A lot has happened since we took our kittens home from the shelter. Nikki and I both graduated, we moved from Des Moines, Iowa to Springfield, Missouri, and Oscar is now much bigger than his big brother Otis. The picture here was taken at our apartment in Des Moines as Oscar, near the window, was just beginning to catch up with Otis.

I won't bore with the minutia of our lives all at once but we are conscientious cat parents and hopefully we can share some of our experiences, good and bad with Otis and Oscar, and perhaps provide some insight into raising a couple of cats as pets.
